Description
This men's watch by Omega from the Speedmaster collection bears reference 310.30.42.50.04.001. Launched in 1957 as a sports car chronograph, the Speedmaster became the watch of the Apollo missions after passing NASA qualification tests. It is the only chronograph ever worn on the Moon, and the model has changed very little since.
At the heart of the case sits the 3861 calibre, a mechanical movement with manual winding certified Master Chronometer. This is the most demanding control in Swiss watchmaking: conducted by METAS, the Swiss federal institute of metrology, it covers the finished watch rather than the movement alone, and includes resistance to magnetic fields. Count on 50 hours of power reserve: it will easily get through the weekend without being wound.
The steel case displays 42 mm in diameter and 13.18 mm in thickness. It houses a white dial. The whole assembly is water-resistant to 50 metres, enough to withstand showers and splashes. A steel bracelet completes the package.
Brand new and never worn, it comes with the manufacturer's international warranty. The parcel is dispatched within 10 to 15 days, insured for the value of the watch, and payment can be spread over several instalments.
